ECOF - Export Compliance Officer

Such a professional must be able to summarize and blend specialized skills as well as mental and methodological attitudes related to areas quite different from each other, and his competence can therefore in no way be exhausted by a "traditional" sectoral preparation, no matter how excellent .
The prerequisite of a specific and adequately structured training, of which the courses set up by EIFEC certainly represent the best possible expression, must be therefore deemed as indispensable.

Among the main tasks of an ECOF, in fact, beyond the more general activity of advice and training in the field of Export Compliance, we can find:

  • the assistance to companies for the customs and technical classification of items (according to both the Dual Use control regulations and sanctioning regimes) and in the more or less in-depth verification of any third parties involved in export operations as for their presence in national or international blacklists
  • the drafting of Export Compliance opinions concerning single transactions or specific issues of particular complexity
  • the setting up and activation of real ICPs (Internal Compliance Programs) specialized in export, based on EIFEC international standards and fully proportionate to the organizational context, size, type of business and strategic address of the organization involved.
